The Beauty Buffs: NYE

Hey everyone!  I can't believe we're saying goodbye to's been such a great year for me, I hope it was great to you too :)
Naturally, this weeks Beauty Buff's theme was New Year's - I didn't love the way these turned out (I think the colors are all wrong) so I may be wearing something else for the first day of 2015 but this will do for now ;)
Used China Glaze Liquid Leather, OPI Ski Slope Sweetie and Sephora by OPI Spark-Tacular!

*side note: I have no idea why my pictures are weird but I was too frustrated to figure it out...enjoy!

December 23, 2014

Hey everyone!  The cold air has finally come and with how busy I've been I really needed something warm and vibrant to cheer me up!  Unfotunatelty, this attempt at "dry brushing" looks a lot like "crackle" polish :(
Still the colors make me happy! I used OPI That's Hot Pink! and No Room for the Blues.

Happy Tuesday <3

The Beauty Buffs: Silver & Gold

Hey everyone!  I promise I will one day resume with regular blogging, but in the meantime you will only be seeing posts for The Beauty Buffs!  Thank you to all those who are still reading...I love you!  I'm hoping by February my life will slow down just a bit so I can make more time for blogging.  On to the's theme was SILVER & GOLD and since I am not a huge fan of silver polish I had to think of an alternative...enter SILVER glitter!
This is pretty and dainty and I love that!  I sponged with a white polish and then dabbed very little gold and silver glitters on top of that.

The Beauty Buffs: Holiday Theme

Hey everyone!  I apologize for the lack of posts, my life is just extremely busy and will continue to be for at least the next few months.  I am doing my best to, at a minimum, keep up with my posts for The Beauty Buffs so today's BB theme is HOLIDAYS!  We have had no snow in the valley yet, which is unusual for this time of year in Utah but I'm not complaining! I'll let the snow hang out on my nails instead of my front lawn ;)
PS - I am so rusty on my nail art and this mani clearly proves that #yikes

The Beauty Buffs: Metallic

Hey everyone!  This week the Beauty Buff's theme is METALLIC.  I really had to dig for a metallic color -because I typically hate metallic polishes so I own few to none.  I thought this would be a great time to practice a Ruffian since most of the metallic color would be covered up!  Haha, I'm terrible!
I used some no-name silvery metallic polish and then went over with Sally Hansen Oxblood.

Winter Blues

Hey everyone!  This overcast weather has me feeling a little blue today so I needed a little pick me up.  I used OPI Do You Lilac It?, Sparrow Me the Drama and China Glaze Urban-Night for today's mani.

Mattey Polka

Hey everyone!  I have not done anything matte for quite some time now so today I went for a simple mattified polka dot mani.
I used China Glaze Fancy Pants as my base.

A Classic Start

Hey everyone!  I know we're already at the halfway point in October but Halloween nails are one of my favorite and I always get so excited to play!  I have a super busy October so I'm going to try my hardest to make some time to do some fun and spooky manis ;)
Today I have a classic orange and black look using the "dry brush" technique.
For those of you wondering, the orange is Sephora by OPI Hi Def.

Dainty Florals

Hey everyone!  I love dainty rose colors but I just haven't really been loving how they look on my skin tone lately...I don't know what's going on with me.  For this look I used Sally Hansen First Kiss, Sephora by OPI Looks Like Rain, Dear and OPI Thanks a Windmillion and Sweet Heart.

Beauty Buffs: Neutral

Hey everyone!  The Beauty Buffs are going neutral today and, unfortunately, this mani looked a little better in my head...still not a total fail though ;)
I used Orly First Kiss and Essie Chinchilly.

Hey everyone!  I am such a Summer girl so with Fall officially on it's way I thought I'd give myself a mani that would help me get in the Fall spirit ;)  I used Pacifica Red Red Wine (the application was amazing by the way), Orly Halo and these cute little rhinestones from Born Pretty Store.

BPS - Floral Decals

Hey everyone!  I have some pretty floral decals from Born Pretty Store to share today.  These were super simple to use and give any mani an elegant look.  I decided Orly Wild Wisteria would be a good back drop for these lovely flowers ;)

The Beauty Buffs: Fall

Hey everyone!  I am so not ready for this but I guess it IS September so I better get it together.  Today The Beauty Buffs are showing off Fall inspiration.  I'm not a huge fan of traditional Fall colors so it's funny that that's exactly what I ended up picking out for today's simple Fall mani.

I used Zoya Arizona and Louise and China Glaze I'm Not Lion.

Check out what my fellow Beauty Buffs came up with:

Something about dots...

Hey everyone!  There's just something about polka-dots against a white background...I want to try this look in every color ;)

I used Zoya Purity as my base.  The dots were done using Zoya Daul, OPI Do You Lilac It? and China Glaze Creative Fantasy.
