Welcome 2013!

Hey everyone!  Happy New Years Eve! I have a bit of a mixed mani for today...my base is 3 coats of China Glaze Glistening Snow.  This ate through my top coat much more than
I had anticipated it would.  I think I used 2-3 coats of SV to try and smooth it over.

Be safe and Happy New Year! <3

Leopard Print

Hey everyone! I recycled my last mani and added some leopard print.  The colors I used are not really "in-season" but sometimes you just crave a little something different.  My base is 2 coats of Julep Natalie and for the leopard I used Essie Chin Chilly and a black nail art pen.

Julep - Natalie

Hey everyone! I have another simple swatch today...
I received my Julep Maven Mystery Box recently and Natalie was one of the colors that was included. I LOVE this color! It's a creamy coral/pink and is so shiny all on it's own!  This is 2 coats with no top coat.

Merry Christmas!

Hey everyone!  I hope (for those of you that celebrate) you all are having a wonderful Christmas celebrating with your families.  I know I am!  I wanted to keep today's post simple and what's simpler than the best Christmas red out there?  This is 3 coats of China Glaze Ruby Pumps.  This is the perfect holiday red IMO.
Please bear with me on the watermark changes...I'm still in the process of trying to figure one out.

Snowy X-mas Trees

Hey everyone!  After feeling so uninspired lately and not liking the turnout of a lot of my manis I'm happy to say there is a Christmas winner!  Here I recycled yesterday's mani and created some little Christmas trees.

Blue Goodness

Hey everyone!  I've had China Glaze Blue Iguana in my pile of untrieds FOREVER and today I've finally decided to give it some love.  I don't like blues on me, just doesn't blend well with my skin tone, but this one is absolutely gorgeous!
There's a slight shift of purple shimmer that totally surprised me...

Bubblegum Pink

Hey everyone! Today I have a beautiful pink swatch to show you.  I picked this up the other day because it was on sale and even though it's not very season friendly I couldn't wait to try it out.  Here is 2 coats of Sally Hansen I Pink I Can.  This was so creamy and easy to apply... I absolutely love it!

Snowflakes...

Hey everyone!  I worked on some snowflake manis that never made it on here last week so I thought I'd try again today.  I have to say I'm still not happy with it.  What's it going to take for me to get these snowflake manis down???
My base is 2 coats of China Glaze Grape Juice.

Husband's Pick

Hey everyone!  Awhile back when I was at Sally's I couldn't decide on one of the polish's so I let my husband pick something off the China Glaze rack.  His pick? Regge to Riches.  It is BEAUTIFUL and I must give him props for this one!  It's much more vibrant in real life and leans way more purple than pink as these pictures make it seem.

Polish Addict Review - Pretty Little Glitters

Hey everyone!  Today I have the final polish from Polish Addict to show you.  This one is called Pretty Little Glitters - I don't watch Pretty Little Liars but maybe if you do you'll be a fan of this polish ;)
When I first applied this it immediately reminded me of a jawbreaker.  It's a shimmery milky white with lots of different colored glitters - I see green, fuchsia, blue, red and silver.  Application was good and it only took 2 coats to get it opaque.

This is the best picture I could capture to show you the shimmer that lies within the milk ;)
Laura is currently re-working the formula on this polish but Pretty Little Glitters will be available again on January 2, 2013.  So make sure to get yours then!

Here she is with 2 coats...

See all this amazing glitter? There's blue, gold and fuchsia of varying sizes.
Jellyfish is currently on sale for $6 at Polish Addict.

Polish Addict Review - Dancing Plums

Hey everyone! Today I have an awesome polish to show you.  The lovely Laura of Polish Addict has been so kind to send me a few polishes to share with you all and the one I chose for today is Dancing Plums.
This is a maroon base filled with lots of shimmery goodness!  Application was a breeze and after 2 coats it was fully opaque.

In this close-up you are able to see a bit of the micro holo glitter.
Dancing Plums is currently available at Polish Addict for only $5! Don't miss this sale!

December Ipsy Bag

Hey everyone! Today I have my December Ipsy bag to show you and once again I love what I got.  This months bag is a mauvey silver?  All I know is it's pretty and the inside is a bright pink.

Here are the contents of my Ipsy bag:
1)  Mirabella Prime - It says it's a primer for face and eyes I however, only used it on my face.  Initially it felt like it went on a little oily but my face didn't appear oily at all.  It's a good primer but not awesome enough to make me switch from my usual favorite. (the Porefessional by Benefit)
2) Be a Bombshell Lipgloss in Hot Mess - I LOVE this lipgoss! It's actually a bit more sheer than it looks.  I love the consistency and I feel like it's pretty long-wearing for a gloss.
3) Mai Couture Highlighter Papier - This was kind of cool to get as I've never tried highlighter sheets.  It's very pretty however I feel like there's a little too much shimmer in this for my face so I think I will use these for my shoulders/chest etc.
The sheets themselves appear pretty gold as you can see below.

 4) NYX Loose Pigment Eye Shadow in Pearl - the name says it all for this one PEARL.  I hate the packaging but the color is very pretty and wearable for everyone.

5) - Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in ZeroI was so excited that I got an UD product in this month's bag but when I actually used it I can't say I really loved it.  The main problem was I felt like it just wouldn't stay put.  I don't usually wear black liner anyway but I'm willing to give this another try with a better eye primer.

Candy Cane Nails

Hey everyone! I'm realizing how close Christmas is now that we've got all our holiday stuff out so I thought my nails should be a little festive too.
I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White, China Glaze Fairy Dust and NYC Madison Avenue.
